Truong Hai Automobile Joint Stock Company (THACO) officially became a distributor of Iveco branded buses in the Vietnamese market.
Information posted on Iveco’s website shows that Iveco and Truong Hai Auto Joint Stock Company (Thaco) have a strategic partnership to expand business operations in the Vietnamese market. Accordingly, Thaco will be a manufacturer, assembly and distributor of Iveco-branded commercial vehicles in the minibus segment.
“We hope this partnership will bring benefits to both sides in improving the quality and standards of products, serving maximum customers’ needs through the quality and services provided by Thaco, said Mr. Koray Kursunoglu, Brand Manager of Iveco AMEA (Asia, Middle East and Africa region) said.
It is expected that the two sides will soon introduce the product and announce the sales time in the Vietnamese market.
According to research, the Iveco Daily minibus model sold in foreign markets has 4 different versions, including: Daily Start, Daily Line, Daily Tourys and Daily Blue Power. Iveco Daily has two diesel engine options: 2.3 liter and 3.0 liter capacity.
Iveco Daily Start version is the cheapest variant of the company. Compared to the rest of the versions, Daily Start has been adjusted by the company in some details on the car to be able to meet a variety of “tasks” from the airport shuttle service to the cheap taxi.
On the Iveco Daily Line version, there are 15 to 22 passengers and felt-up seats.
The Iveco Daily Tourys premium mid-range version is powered by a HI-MATIC 8-speed automatic transmission.
Finally, Daily Blue Power. This version is designed with many different service purposes such as: transportation to urban workers, transportation and medical services.
The most noticeable and recognizable point compared to the 3 versions above is that the front has a blue grille.
Iveco Daily is expected to be a formidable competitor to Hyundai Solati and Ford Transit in the future.
